Jauntily and overtly, a flock of people is seen to be flying and going with each other’s flow. Below these airborne people, a chopped bed with clattered sheets is settled. Evidently, the bed is positioned in an open space. A local Coca-Cola bottle is also present with the frame situated on the far left of the canvas. The people hovering, with their frankly unbothered expressions, are painted to relate to people who are detached from reality and submitting willingly to something with neglect of information. People involved in this practice seem to have a distorted perception of comfort for themselves. Their ideals change and align with their toxic devotion at the expense of their alleviation. This erroneous idea, coupled with its effect, is visually captured using the divided, messy bed and the singular, distant Coca-Cola bottle. Relating to contemporary times, the objects utilized also displays how this ‘no mind’ attitude has blatantly affected the collective population. “To The Moon” is a visual representation of how our actions can affect the bigger picture. It is a reminder for people to be critical of details and information they absorb, especially if it affects something greater than themselves. Blindly choosing something to believe in creates a straight road for oppressors.
