Reflected Joy Print

I wanted to created a happy dreamscape of happy events both past and present. The inspiration came from a line drawing that I drew eyes closed while I let my memories and imagination guide my graphite stick in hand across the cotton paper. Much like automatic drawing, the information that transferred contained real life references as well as imagery born from the stroke of emotion. There are micro and macro moments throughout. I can see this piece not only causing the viewer to smile and explore the details, I can see where this could be a striking off point for a bedtime story when a little one discovers polar bears or someone sneaking away with a cookie in hand. Reflected Joy is something to share, with your own recollections or with the imagination of someone you love.
