About The Artwork
I love "Peace". The spirit of the human mind long for peace in life. But we are worried and anxious in the life. I think Peace is communication and love that is empty in mind. My work expressed the infinite life given by the nature along with the human existence, and realistically depicted dynamic sense of movement through brushing. Therefore, the core philosophy of the work, “aesthetics of empty” from Chuang-tzu in oriental thought is expressed through the empty space of the center through ink-and-wash and it depicted the existence given by colors through the light. This is the space management of the work screen, and I was influenced by the work of Qi Baishi. It allows us to experience the life visually with our eyes. I tried to show a vivid and varied work like the appearance of the universe on the screen and to show that the where the brush touched is alive by drawing flowers, birds, butterflies, mountains, water and grasshoppers.
