About The Artwork

White horses have had many symbolic associations in mythologies around the world including association with the sun chariot, with warrior-heroes, with fertility (in both mare and stallion manifestations), or with an end-of-time saviour, but other interpretations exist as well. “NATURA FORMA” SERIES STATEMENT This series of surreal oil paintings explores the embodiment of nature through human and animal forms. These works make full use of negative space and restricted colour schemes to create intriguing and powerful images. The intention is to create symbolic links with the natural world and it's inhabitants, whether human beings or animals, into a unified visual language. These paintings are metaphorical images exploring the universal connections of life, within the landscape of the natural world. "Natura Forma" is an ongoing series started in the winter of 2022...
