This painting is done layering and mark making techniques are utilised to achieve dimension and form, expressive brushstroke work and highly impactful colours are incorporated to invoke a rushing, rhythmic movement and flow. Piece is worked and reworked in an effort to capture the experience until, eventually, the paint offers up its own conclusions, which Alpana routinely develops into the work’s ultimate expression.
