VIEW IN MY ROOM
When the town of Smithers, BC, was having its centennial celebrations in 2013, the art gallery held an event for artists to create an artwork that was somehow related to those early years. The town was created by the Grand Trunk Pacific railway company, as were several towns along the route from Edmonton to Prince Rupert, so I used some of the old photos to create a scene representing the first train to arrive in Smithers. I planned to use an old window frame, so I cut a birch panel to fit the frame. Prints can be had with or without the frame in the scene. The original artwork sold during the show at the art gallery.
