Artwork was created as a diptych for The Great Spirograph® Challenge exhibition at Brockport Fine Arts gallery, NY. Spirograph as a mathematical tool has been around since the 1880s. It was celebrated by an international roster of artists invited to take part in the exhibition. Text was written by writer and artist Rob Mintz. Hand-painted pattern using spirograph and colorful ball pens was scanned and digitally manipulated. Typographic treatment with simulated erasure literally illustrates the question of the art itself. This conceptual piece is printed on canvas and is now available as limited edition prints.
