About The Artwork
In the beginning of 2020 we were just waking up to a new and threatening reality. Trying to take stock of an ever changing situation and making sense of having the world as our play ground one minute and being confined to our homes the next without basic human contact with our families and friends. With New Horizons I responded to the feeling of loneliness and isolation and the hope of something good to come of what un the surface seemed so bad.

I love colour, texture and experimentation. Painting is my celebration of being alive, an emotional response to my life and my surroundings and an exploration of meditation and dreams. . Most of my paintings are oil or acrylics on board and canvas. Neo-Surrealism, Fauvism, Impressionism, Abstract are my main influences. Born in Copenhagen Denmark, I have lived all over Europe before falling in love with a Welshman. I can now be found in Wales where I live on the side of a mountain with my husband, two boys, our rescue dog called Jessica and couple of goats...... I know it should be sheep but sometimes I just like to be different. I welcome commissions, and have a minimum 3 week lead time so I can make sure you are absolutely delighted with what you receive.
