I've been imagining a swimming city and drawing it in the margins of notebooks for years. This ink-wash and oil painting canvas crosses a city grid with an abstract behemoth feeding in the sea. This painting felt urgent to make, and at the time of it's creation, it felt impossible to make a mistake. This was effortlessly fun and imaginative play at its best.
