Gradients, perspectives. Suggesting transition and movement. From near to far. From dark to light. From low to high. From dank to dry. Inspirations? Schopenhauer advises; caring about who we are in the estimation of others is a weakness we should limit. What's going on in consciousness of others shouldn't influence our sense of wellbeing. If someone categorises someone as a loser, a mistake-maker, one should not take these labels seriously. For they are derogatory. Based upon false belief that a person's unfortunate position is their fault. Within their power. That they're to blame & deserving of contempt (Laurence has suffered contempt severally). In reality we don't control our fate. Many if not most times our life circumstances are just luck. A lot of Laurence has come out in yet another of his somewhat ironic paintings, "The Men who made Mistakes".

United Kingdom
Lowborn, not a Virtue-Signaller, lacking Luxury Beliefs or their status, but not inverted snob or a snob. Definitely not intersected. Orphaned, outcast, male, straight, white, capitalist (a tiny fish in a very big pond), quite conservative in fiscal and social matters. In long term and friendly relationship. Prankster, yet pragmatic, singular, evolved, authentic, ironic, sardonic, sceptical. Comparatively deprived early life. Which has had permanent effect. Not least in being grateful, for what I've got. And for true opportunities both recognisable and takeable. These themes within some of these works. Never faked a sarcasm too. Personally loyal to those who have tried to, or have, helped. What else is a man of honour to do? Really enjoy painting, sometimes. In silence, without media lies etc., noticed sound of own breathing as I paint. Expressive, rather than regular! Still learning after all these years. Thank you for your interest.
