About The Artwork
At different levels, attachment to a hometown is personal and specific. To some, it is not replaceable; to others, it is a general feel, a cushion of memories for the heart. Evening sky, fresh air after the rain were expressed through soft clear reflective golden light using the balance of tones. Along with the textures of rugged old buildings, I added a truck and some chimney smoke. Someone is hurry up home for dinner, a warm place by the fire.. that's how I felt about this little town..
