About The Artwork
I saw a photograph of the sitter, a famous British actor who shall remain nameless but who is hopefully recognisable, in a newspaper or magazine article. I was captivated by his intense stare, and decided I had to try and capture it in a portrait. Whether I succeeded or not it is up to the viewer, and the same goes for the likeness. I paint in watercolour because I love the flow and interplay of pigment and water, and their interaction with paper.
