Well honesty is the best policy so here we go.

I was researching different styles of painting and experimenting with different techniques, and one rainy day in my garage (should I say STUDIO ) I was playing with some ideas.

So this whole painting in made with NO BRUSHES at all.
I know that is not to difficult, but it was after all an experiment.
Honestly if you want to know how I made each part of the painting, just ask and I will tell you. My main implements were a drinking straw a balloon a length of wool, plus some scrunched up plastic wrap.

If you have seen some of my other works, you will probably agree that CRAZY is in my personal definition. I don't know many Ozzies that are not a bit crazy anyway.

To all our grandkids and others, I am Poppy Pat and my wife is Nanny Lu. This painting is therefore Nannas Summer Garden.

The painting is 76 cm wide and 61 cm high and 4 cm deep. It is finished with a mid gloss varnish, which enhances the color and protects the paint.

On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and does not need a frame as all the edges are painted. It also has felt cushions on the back to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured plaster bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination. His work is displayed in galleries on the Central Coast and in private collections. .
