About The Artwork
It is always such a joy to welcome a new person into the world! When you can still gather four other generations together to celebrate, that is just amazing! This is five generations of wonderful women from my friend's family, and it makes me hope for many families to have such a great legacy. I love painting en grisaille in Van Dyck Brown; it is so rich and dark yet just a bit warmer than black and white. It always makes me think of early photographic images that were so often also filled with family. This work is unframed with finished edges and has a wire threaded through small D rings for hanging flat against a wall.
