About The Artwork
This is about the death of my ( Xhosa) culture by technology. The old lady is wearing a traditional head wrap from the Xhosa tribe and she is gagged by the apple. My grandmother used to tell us stories which had a lot of history of my clan every evening as we didn't have television and I-phones. She used to recite my clan names and sadly this is not passed down because we all do not have time to talk to each other as the technology has taken over our lives.
