About The Artwork
Most of my work is process-based and crosses the lines of photography, film, performance and installation. I return to similar subjects — identity, home, and origin and transience. The starting point is usually a specific place, and tales that function as a catalyst for the viewer’s personal fantasies. In this work I was inspired by Viennese painters, and the simplicity of lines and forms, and the tactility of a rough sketch on paper. I like the idea of something in progress, not quite finished, for the viewer to project their own experiences, to offer openness and contemplation.
