"Ceguera Emocional"/ "Emotional Blindness" Artwork

ES ¿Alguna vez has tenido un momento en una ruptura amorosa que te haga pensar “Cómo pude cegarme tanto”?... Bueno, esta pintura fue un momento de catarsis para mí. La hice cuando el hombre con el que llevaba meses saliendo me dijo que no estaba listo para una relación. Me sentí tan ciego y tan tonto por dejarme enamorarme por alguien sin leer exhaustivamente cada señal, y la pintura es una metáfora visual de esa emoción. Esta obra no solo es una pintura, sino que también tiene hilos cosidos manualmente para darle el toque final a la pieza y hacerla ver justo como yo la sentía. La parte de pintura la terminé en una noche o dos, escuchando música triste, y la parte del bordado tomó otros cuatro días. EN Ever had a heartbreak moment where you think to yourself "How could I be so blind"?... Welp, this painting was a moment of catharsis for me. I made it after the guy I'd been dating for months said he wasn't ready for a relationship. I felt so blind and so stupid for letting myself fall for someone without proof-reading every sign carefully first, and this piece is a visual metaphor of that feeling. This piece is not only painting, but also has hand-stitched threads to finish off the piece and make it look just the way I felt. I finished the painting in a night or two while listening to sad songs, and the embroidery took me other 4 days.
