About The Artwork

Title: A Solemn Instance Artist: KxMx Lane Year: 2024 #J1624-SLmNnSt-x32 "A Solemn Instance" is a contemplative piece by Artist KxMx Lane. The digital painting "A Solemn Instance" was created in January 2024, with an Artist Catalog Number of #J1624-SLmNnSt-x32. The amazing thing about this piece is how well the emotions are captured and visually well represented to the viewer, so well, that as soon as you begin to view the artwork you immediately can feel how she's feeling. The colors were a great selection for this piece because the use of these colors boast a lot of the emotional qualities depicted in "A Solemn Instance". KxMx Lane also did a splendid job not only on capturing her emotions, but also capturing the right phase of the emotion. Because our facial expressions are different in 3 main phases, for example, starting to cry, crying, and drying our eyes. Now, if you think about when you personally started to cry, was crying, and began to dry your eyes, you didn't keep the same facial expression the whole time did you? Thats what KxMx Lane did so well here, he knew what facial expressions went with each phase of the emotion. And for "A Solemn Instance" he didn't decide to represent the emotional phase where someone was beginning to cry, he didn't pick a climax of them crying the loudest, because really it would have kept the artwork in the gloom. KxMx Lane However, decided to show the young Lady at a point where she began reflecting on what caused her to cry, and in that reflection point she finds some anger, but that anger quickly becomes inspiration and motivation, to be strong in this trying moment. And with that, KxMx Lane made a negative emotion a positive action and empowered that action to inspire others to find strength.

My Name is KxMx Lane I am a Digital and Traditional Artist. I enjoy creating Landscapes, abstract art, characters for a storyline, street art, and artworks in my own signature style I call GriPP Art. I started doing art as a form of therapy. At First, I hid my work, until one day my friend's son seen one of my characters and began urging me to let the public see more of my artworks. He showed back up at my house later by himself and gave me a bag of art supplies he bought with his own money. So, The First piece I made, I made for my Friend's Son. This moment propelled me in a lot of ways, it made me to start doing art for a purpose instead of for a hobby, it made me realize talents i had that i wasnt making the most of, and some I wasnt using at all, the moment also put an unfound belief I had for myself that had been absent before in my artistry. On September 21, 2021 was the day I officially started KmLaneArt as a small business in my home state. That Night, I posted my first nfts on the site Mintable. and shortly after I posted my first Collection on Opensea. It was when I joined Voice.com that I really started to see interest in my artworks in the public sphere. Also while being an Artist on Voice I was able to join a community of like-minded artist that had recently began their art careers just like me. We would bounce questions, ideas, and share our recent creations with each other. Artist in this group soon began collaborating with one another on an array of different projects. I participated on a project where 20 artist were selected to contribute on an Artwork with a theme based on Peace, Love, and Unity. I have collaborated with artist: Jenna Quader, John Shepard, Amanda Veasey, James Lee, Weird One, Yugen, S.R. Chappell, 80's Nfts, Anelia Angelova, Pitbull, Zorb, Raheem Nelson, MarVin, Tony Streetsz, Sam Kim, Verset 420, Sasha Mihajlovic, ZedTrafficker, and CrystalsoftheLight as of today. A lil while after the 20 artist collab, I entered my first art contest and finished in 4th place. About a Month later, I entered my 2nd art contest with my artwork titled "Despair". After much anticipation they released the results for the Contest and "Despair" ended up winning! I was embolden after the contest to try harder, make better pieces and to participate in more art related activities. In my 3rd year of my art journey my popular had increased and I started being a speaker on a few podcast and was interviewed on a few podcast as well.
