About The Artwork

The DEVI Sculpture Collection. Created 2021. Inspired by Nature, the Elements and the Infinite Cosmos, the branch of a massive Texas Pecan tree becomes a very sensual, mysterious object via the Ancient Japanese technique of Yakisugi -- or Shou-sugi-ban, the repeated, deep charring of Wood with Fire. Layers of wood are removed to reveal what was always present. Salvaged pecan sealed with Tried and True non-toxic Beeswax Finish. Measures approximately 19"H x 12"W x 7"D. Each DEVI Sculpture is unique. Available as a limited edition. Ideal for table-top display.
