ART PRACTICE: As an artist, I always wanted to create my own visual style … it should be unique for myself and yet identifiable for others . I love to create textures . Texture means so much more than a sensation brought on by touching something physical . It can tell a story and make something two-dimensional appear three-dimensional. It can be applied, established through canvas choice, scratched into a surface and built upon, layer after layer. Usually I worked with acrylics on canvas . With the addition of some design elements , symbols , portraits and calligraphy . The possibilities of texture in art are practically limitless. ARTIST STATEMENT : My subject matter includes botany, anatomy, and resemblance between nature and human behavior . Through attention to detail I strive to communicate nature’s continuous beauty to viewers. The interaction between humans and nature is my main muse, and I hope to relay a poetic interpretation of the two. Isn't this fascinating about these plants that they turn out beautiful so that they can attract more insects for the pollination process This makes me wonder that aren't we all in a way, some sort of Plants who are trying to turn their flaws into flowers so that more and more people can love us, admire us, accept us.
