The name of the painting is "Two cities one style" Size is 19.6 x 27.5 inches. This painting symbolize for me two cities on opposite shores of the Aegean coast - Greek and Turkish. In one canvas, I depicted the typical architecture of two cities, separated by state borders, but having a large cultural community. The two cities are separated only by color and intersecting lines. This style of "intersecting lines" and cubes formed in this way - I call "my cubism". This style is one of the main in my art. 100% original hand painted fine art one of a kind by Julia Mia Art. My name is Julia Mia. I am Ukrainian artist currently living in Turkey. I am a painter, art photographer, teacher of fine arts. In my works I use mainly decorative style of painting and modern cubism. I prefer to use a bright colors, decorative planes, lines and simple shapes in my painting. Colors are very important in my painting, especially complementary colors. I work in Techniques of oil painting, acrylic, mixed media, monumental painting. I took an inspiration from the cultural heritage of the Aegean region, Eastern culture and the synthesis of these two cultures. My main inspiration is a cityscapes and the landscapes I have around where I live and work . It can also be a scene in the street, a picture I saw or took, an emotion I lived. Painting is for me a necessity. I have an urge to express in a pictorial way things I see or feel and that touches me or transmits beauty. I like to start each painting as though it was something new, guided by my intuition, often led at first by colours, launch the work in a spontaneous way, depending on the place and moment I'm in. I do hope my work can show a glimpse of the beauty I see in my everyday life, even with it's nostalgic moments at times. My arts are my world, my soul, my knowledge The painters that inspire me most are the Paul Klee, Vasarelly, Egon Shille.
