About The Artwork
The year 2022 is the year of the tiger in the Chinese / Japanese calendar. I painted the tiger emerging from the darkness so show that the tiger is finally arriving and has arrived and is coming out from the darkness into the light. According to the Chinese belief, those born under this sign are brave, and that is possibly what most of the world need now in the darkness that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought upon us. I have always been inspired to paint tigers as compared to other types of animals. Cats, like tigers, as interesting and mysterious.
