A Darvish's focus is on the universal values of love and service, deserting the illusions of ego, to reach God. They reach ecstatic trance through their soulful dancing. This painting depicts the dance of one such Darvish on a festive night against the backdrop of Masjids and holy places. Dancing Darvish is an surrealism form of art.
