The strong African woman, keeper and mother of all. She wakes up daily, working from morning till dusk, sourcing for means to take care of her children. The painting is about Love we all get from our mothers who despite their shortcomings believed in providing for us all. I was inspired by "Venice of Africa," the floating village of Makoko in Lagos, Nigeria. It is inhabited by people who not only live on water, but also also depend on it for their livelihood.
