About The Artwork

In this work, which I have named 'stay connected', I have shown only one tree and its visual significance. I chose the oak tree as my way of representation because it is a symbol of strength, power, wisdom, longevity, firmness of spiritual and material wealth. It is spread all over the world, as is the destruction of nature, unfortunately. The image is divided into two parts, the upper one is what we see and the lower one is what we do not see or what we are not aware of. The crown of the tree is shown reduced to geometric shapes, indicating that the emptiness of our carelessness will remain, chasing after the material, worldly, instead of the fruits of the crown, which not only gives us oxygen but also nourishes, cools, supplies us in every sense of the word. Its luxurious branches are also used for playing, bringing together - hence the symbol of an empty swing on which children would gather and rejoice. Its strong and powerful roots, buried deep under the earth, hide a secret communication and connection that we all benefit from. This 'internet connection' also connects us with what we see above on the surface - mushrooms, grasses, plants and it seems that life travels becomes part of the hot spot zone without having paid the bill for the internet. Everything has been there for a long time, connected and working perfectly, until one day a small ax breaks all our 'internet connections'. I believe we are more than an 'axe'. So let's stay connected. - One of a kind painting on canvas - Dimensions : 100 x 70 x 2 cm (horizontal) - Mixed media on canvas (acrylic and black ink) - Artists signature in the front and in the back - Delivered to your address rolled in a tube (on request it can be shipped framed in carton box) Web page: nelisabazdar-nelart.com Instagram: nelisabazdar_nelart Facebook: Nela Bazdar Thank You

Hello everyone, My name is Nelisa Nela Baždar I am a dancing visual artist who loves life and breathes and dances her art. All of my being is submerged in my art – I create from my heart, soul, mind and my whole body. I paint, draw, design, print and dance. In my home I have created a magical little studio in which I prepare my artworks ( paintings, drawings and graphics). Inspiration for my art is everything within me and around me – nature, city, sun, moon, smile, water, movement, playfulness, expressiveness, air, sky, honesty, energetic, vibrant, sensuality, mysterious, adventurism, passionate, humor. But most of all in my work I show pure emotion and care for the state of mind. I was born in Sarajevo in 1986. Graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 2011., Department of Teaching, Graphics subdivision. I exhibited my artworks at several solo exhibitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and several international and domestic group exhibitions. I have participated in many art colonies, workshops, art festivals and biennials. I collaborated with Bosnian fashion designer Mrs. Amela Radan, with whom I organized two fashion shows at the Fashion Week in Novi Sad and Budapest in 2015. In period from 2007 – 2013. as part of the Sarajevo Winter Festival, I have been collaborating with several artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Netherlands, Finland, Macedonia and Germany which has helped improve my individual work, as well as further collaboration with artists from different climates. Worked as a teacher of art education in primary schools in Tešanj and at the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth in Sarajevo. I also collaborated with Nakši Art in planning and implementing the interior painting of religious buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
