This is a painting from the late '90s, where my pop soul came up. I enjoy not taking myself too seriously, I like irony very much. The comic-like style is given by the use of the silhouettes' black lines and the subject is like a cartoon character.

Italy
Max Mazzoli was born in Livorno (Leghorn, Tuscany) in 1953 to a family of artisans and artists. In his native town, he studied at the Free School of Art by Mario Nigro and then at the Free Academy of Art by Voltolino Fontani. He has been painting since childhood, always painting for a living. He lives and works in Sardinia since 1989. He has been participating in collective exhibits throughout Italy and Europe since 1972 and in solo exhibits since 1982. «... Who is Max Mazzoli?» «A happy guy, with his dark sides, who doesn't regret his past» [Quotation by an interview from 2018] Here is the link to a powerful documentary dedicated to Max Mazzoli in 2021, by the director Gabriele Peru, called "Quello strano incontro con la signora in rosso. Max Mazzoli". English subtitles available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EPI0R68AbI&t=822s&ab_channel=Ass.CulturaleObiettivo31
