This oil painting by Katia Bellini is as mysterious as it is captivating. The fact that the subject is not facing the viewer creates mystery. Her white dress flows beautifully around her and is contrasted with her dark, masculine boots. The subtle breeze that seems to catch her hair creates a feeling of effortless beauty. Her dress is covering the seat that she is sitting on so it almost appears as if she is floating, giving her an angelic quality".

United Kingdom
Katia Bellini is a contemporary artist and oil painter, who lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia and Spain before coming to the UK, where she decided to seriously pursue her painting commitment. After attending an art college in Liverpool and atelier style workshop in Florence Academy of Art (Italy) she continued to create paintings in her studio in Leamington Spa (Warwickshire, UK). Her recent landscape oil paintings are inspired by nature, plants and gardens as well as antique botanical illustrations, old engravings and 18th century landscape murals. These artworks have a contemporary feel and are interior decor oriented. The artist works from life, photos and imagination, attempting to develop flowing compositions, an impression of serenity or dream like quality. Her work has been featured in Artist and Illustrators Magazine and included in various juried exhibitions in the UK and abroad. Her paintings can also be found in private collections in USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland and Saudi Arabia.
