About The Artwork
Color almost always inspires me to launch into a new painting idea. This painting began as an abstract, but then I just had to have a dash of orange lilies coming right at you. I was inspired by those old time roadside daylilies you see growing along a highway during the hot days of summer. It is propped up on the buffet in my dining room and the room just came to life. Gardening is one of my hobbies so this just felt right.
