About The Artwork
358 Powell, built in 1907 in the Japantown section of Vancouver, was once a rooming house for seasonal workers, and the retail space had a shoemaker's and a barbershop. Now there is a club and restaurant that features local music. I liked the bay-windowed design, built to resemble other parts of the neighborhood that attempted to assimilate into Canadian culture.
