About The Artwork
An older artwork, from the era that I really started going after it trying to make it, having art shows and some works started selling bigger than before. This was one of two works that really delivered the feel of it finally paying off a bit. It was sold abroad to I believe an Austrian collector and was hand-delivered by a representative of the collector without any sort of documents needed that usually are strictly required for an international art shipping, I guess it was some sort of diplomatic shipping or something, somehow they sorted it out which I was totally cool with. At that time I was really into making pop art portraits and such, predominantly characters that I loved from music or movies scene. I was surprised when I actually found this file suitable for prints and posting, because it was really long ago, I didn't even make no prints or anything back then, and also It sold pretty quickly. This artwork was participant of a number of my art shows and was sold from one of them but I am really glad I found it to now make a printed version of it. I don't really do those kind of portraits much anymore, so it definitely harkens back to a certain time period bringing a little nostalgia as well. This piece was very heavily inspired by a concert of a certain musician that I attended with my mom and at the time I was breaking records by going to the concerts and festivals beyond frequently (over 200 attended worldwide), but this particular one was so massive and potent that I didn't expect it, and it was good too, very vibrant and energetic rocknroll, so as soon as I got home I started expressing my fascination from it. Another fun fact that the musician actually was later on introduced to this painting and liked it. So. Another fun story, this begins to seem like a concept - like art diary or something.
