Last year, my watercolor work made it to the final of the Step by Step competition. I was invited to the awards ceremony for the finalists and winners of the competition in the wonderful city of Gdansk. At first glance, this city captivated me with its exquisite beauty, cobbled streets, Gothic architecture, the spirit of antiquity, its majesty and hospitality. It seemed that a carriage would now drive up, and a lady in a beautiful dress with a corset and a fan would come out of the front door, the gallant gentleman would give his hand and invite you to sit in the carriage, and the clatter of the hoofs of the departing carriage would be heard on the pavement. My sister and I rented an apartment in that house, opposite the clock tower. We admired the musical accompaniment of the striking clock, sunsets and sunrises in the very heart of the city.
