The kene is a design by Amazonian people called Shipibo. It represents energy, as seen by women during their mystic trips. I associate that labyrinth form with the thread. The old chimney acts like a lighthouse for the voyage. The sailing boat could be the self in its adventure of life. I put together objects that I feel relate somehow. The meaaning or meanings come later. The vase in the middle of the composition is the copy of anold model of jar used to keep water in the Portuguese colonies of America. The bunny is an old soft doll that belonged to my mother so it must be from around the 30s.

I was born in September of 1963 in Buenos Aires under the sign of Libra. Since I was little I revered nature: the garden, Patagonia and the sea every year, where I stayed at family houses and explored forests and the dunes. Although my parents were agnostic I grew up in a Catholic atmosphere. During my adolescence I started reading spiritual literature: Buddhist, Sufi, Native American, Hindu, Taoist and Early Christianism. These texts and my love of nature, somehow announced and defined my travels in South and North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. They also shaped, along with geometry, my approach to image. I lived for some years in Patagonia, where my son was born. Now I live with my family in Victoria, Buenos Aires, where I paint and teach art classes. I also practise tai chi. I turned a hundred years old house in my home-studio that is a "U" with a garden in the middle, it reminds me of a cloister.
