To create a series of works entitled "Provincial Grandees," the author has benefited from the research archives of the ethnographer and historian Viktor Svyatelyk, works by the famous artists Napoleon Orda, Johann Lampi, Eugene Berthier, Jan Simon, Henry Hollpein, Jan Matejko, and studied a number of works by unknown artists, artifacts, photographs, showpieces in the museums of local lore, art works by outstanding writers. Lots of drafts and sketches have been made in different time periods and in a variety of compositional solutions. Many of this series topics are being played in graphic sheets and made in the chaotic stroke technique (ink, pen). А series of easel works has been produced: "Khoroshe Park", "My name – Sofia", "Exit", "Autumn in the Tulchyn Park", "Echoes of the Past", "Moonlit Night" and others. By creating reconstruction-pictures Hryhorii Zoryk is keen to convey the grand and unique history of the Ukrainian Podillya, to both current and future viewers to pay tribute to the people who have been creating it. By the means of his works the artist is referring to the coevals who ought to save the rich heritage and breathe a new life into the Tulchyn Versailles.

Hryhorii ZORYK – painter, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Art Union of Ukraine. He is possessing the original style based on the aesthetics of classical subject painting. In his creativity, the artist is paying special attention to the plein-air painting, considering nature to be his basic teacher. He operates all genres and practices various techniques. He performs authentic graphic materials in the technique of chaotic strokes (ink, pen), practicing with gouache and watercolors. He prefers oil painting and tempera technique. History, religion, culture, folk traditions and customs, in the range of the artist’s interests, find their authorial reconstruction, realistic interpretation and artistic philosophy. The works by the artist are being kept within private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, China, Canada, USA and Cuba.
