About The Artwork

The sculptural group of "Diana the huntress and five dogs" crowns the Hyatt hotel building located on Gran Vía 31 in Madrid Spain. It represents a scene in which a dialogue is established with the sculpture of the Phoenix located in the opposite building. It simulates the rescue of his beloved Endymion who is kidnapped by the Phoenix by order of Zeus. Natividad Sánchez-Fernández was born in Jaén, Spain, in 1960. From a very young age she felt an inclination for the drawing. She studied architecture at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid. Between 1988 and 2010 she was engaged in architecture, carrying out many projects of various kinds.
