About The Artwork
Direction II is an edition of 5 variations, each having individual characteristics. I used to be concerned with all manner of vessel forms and a smaller version of this sculpture springs from that time. The first in this larger edition was commissioned and finished in blue - at the same time,to be sure of fulfilling the date etc. I made a second sculpture and after satisfactory completion of the commissioned piece I finished this, the second. It is an abstract form open to the viewer to interpret and make their own connection..
