Pangolins themselves inspired the work, using the lost wax method to make a bronze sculpture. Each scale individually applied using a double Phi spiral - which occurs so frequently in nature. These are shy and gentle creatures hunted by man for their highly prized Pangolin scales, rendering all 8 species endangered.
