Celestial Time - A selection of 26 prints. This collection is a visualization of a computer program I designed to tell the time - by the hour, the day, the minute, the seconds. In some variations I included the month and the day. Each art piece is a different view of the time, of "celestial time," a snapshot of the moment. This time telling process, or algorithm, constructs a minimalist representation of modernist aesthetics with a focus on negative spaces. The resultant images are bold, seemingly random and disjoint, however, entirely based on the passage of time and captures time as a linear concept on one side, since it is always moving forward, yet circular in how we communicate it.
