The game of images - the game of gazes. The power of gaze - the power of images fighting for the right to dominate. The black and white theater poster uses a raster reproduction of Guido Reni's famous “Beatrice Cenci” portrait from 1599. However, the poster was "attacked" by the graffiti artist with red paint, symbolically depriving Beatrice of her sight - her gaze, with which in the painting by Guido Reni, she intensely stares at the viewer, seducing him with her beauty. And the blood-red paint dripping on the surface of the paper (face) gave her image the dimension of an epic tragedy. She recalled who Beatrice was: sexually harassed by her father, co-organizer of the murder of her father, who had been killed with nails stuck in Cenci's eyes. But in place of the now invisible eyes, someone drew their mark, "restoring" Beatrice's sight with this scribble. My gaze met with him, revealing the entire complexity of this situation and its structure, which became visible only thanks to my photograph: which reveals how under one exposed image there is another. And it prompts to ask whether in this complex game of overlapping images and gazes there has been no decomposition of all images, all reality?
