I like to watch people, what's going on around me. I used to go to a cafe, sit at a table in the corner and watch... I'd pick an object, think about that person, who he was, what his goals were, where he lived..... There's an elderly couple living in our house. They're always neatly dressed, businesslike, always wearing perfume. And when he goes to work, he is sure to wave to his wife from the street, who sees him off from the balcony.... Victoria Gladshten is a photographer based in Russia. In her works she uses a combination of classical photography and collage to talk about living feelings, emotions. She became interested in photography since 2017. Of the many types of photography, Victoria settled on self-portrait. Through it she tries to show how external events affect the emotional background and how the body reacts to it, her knowledge of psychology helps in establishing cause and effect relationships.
