Don't - Forget - To - Feed - The - Cat (2019) Photograph

Don't Forget To Feed The Cat: The artwork asks questions surrounding the many tributaries of existentialism, focusing on technology; modern relationships; work-life balance. The work also engages with the importance of communications, both technological and verbal - ultimately forming a dialogue between the needs of man and needs of the environment. An image was split into six equal pieces. Each piece was give a title: 'Don't', 'Forget', 'To', 'Feed', 'The' and 'Cat'. They were tweeted separately on Twitter (picture and text). The words were tweeted in order to construct a sentence: 'Don’t forget to feed the cat'. Simultaneously, the six cropped images formed a nest on Twitter and completed the photograph of a Mobile Phone Aerial Antenna Mast. As a consequence, the sentence was subsequently completed. I evidenced the tweet and some analytics. The artwork will be accompanied by an artists' statement on how the artwork travelled into social media. There may be several 'Cats' in the picture.
