About The Artwork
My name is Martin Deeley, a photographer based in Berlin. Working alongside the Education department of the Berlin Philharmonic and members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, i documented the building process of a Violin based on the the template of a Stradivari. 19 students took part in building the violin from scratch under the watchful eye of a Luthier based in Berlin. The building process and the varnishing process took the best part of a year.
