Lightjet Print on Kodak Pro Endura paper, matte. Limited edition of 10 Comes with a certificate of authenticity, edition no. and signature. The changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery displays an impressive ritual, which has been documented by photographers over and over again. So, in a different approach, I've abandoned documentation. I don't want to depict the specific changing of the guard at the day of my visit to Arlington. Instead I've created a collage showing the general notion of 'changing of the guard'. On request also available at the size of 122 x 122 cm. This photo was awarded in Monochrome Photography Awards 2015 with Honorable Mention.

Once a scholar, now a photographer: After retiring, Hans Carl Finsen, a professor of German, has started a new career as a fine art photographer. Actually, he has been practicing photography for decades, but not until now sought an audience. His debut was in 2013. Lives and works in Aarhus, Denmark. As a photographer Finsen is looking for aesthetically interesting, thrilling, appealing or pleasing constellations. In the quest for these constellations he doesn't confine himself to certain subjects or a certain style. He moves in all directions where inspiration takes him and so his work is diversified. Nevertheless three focus points are discernible: 1 architecture and townscape 2 the art museum. He visits museums worldwide to get inspired by interiors and exteriors, works of art, visitors and the view from the museum 3 masters. He remodels, remasters, modifies and combines old and new masters creating the series 'Masters Remodeled' alphahc@mail8.dk https://hcfinsen.myportfolio.com
