The method of painting here is characterised by more immediate fluid and energised mark-making, with careful colour application for balance/weighting and by the ebb and flow of resin through heat applications. In this collection it shows work that is based upon an emphasis of sense and mood as conveyed through colour and flow. Hannah's technique involves constant assessment, measurement and exploration of pigments and their configurations with an emphasis on the rule of thirds. She looks for vibrations of colour depth, movement/flow. This style of work has been created with triple layer resin effect. Each pebble is individually created in resin and applied mid way through the process. Suitable for Bathrooms and shower rooms. This piece comes unframed. Photography of the Art was taken outside, Its very reflective so clouds can be seen. the Art is vibrant in colour.

My name is Hannah Bruce. I am a professional and award-winning artist based in Woking, England. Since 2002, I have been creating original artwork with mediums such as oils, acrylics, resins, ink, and pastels, and have sold my work all over the world. If you are interested in commissioning me to create something specifically for you then please let me know. Background Prior to becoming a professional artist in 2014, I was a Surrey-based teacher of Art and Design for over 13 years. I studied Fine Art and English at the University of Wales and completed my postgraduate certificate in education at the University of Cambridge. I was chairperson for the Woking Art Society from 2015 to 2018 and continue to participate in the committee creating exhibitions and pop-up shop events every year. I really enjoy painting the outdoors, in particular, the art of plein air painting, which comes from the French “en plein air,” meaning “in the open air.” This practice involves leaving the studio behind and painting landscapes on-site. I have helped to set up and collaborate with the Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters and have participated in events such as Norfolk and Norwich Paint Outs, Cambridge Paint Out, A Brush with the Broads, Art in the Open Ireland, London Plein Air Warriors, and occasionally with the Wapping Group and Royal Oil Institute friends. I have demonstrated for over five years with the Surrey Contemporary Art Fairs. I have been an active member of the Family Network Surrey since its inception, winning Business Networker of the Year at a national awards recognition event in Birmingham. What can I say? I’m a very social person.
