No matter who we are, and where we come from, as time goes by, we all bear the marks of our experiences. Some are deep, others superficial. The trick is to find a few true friends, and live for the sum of small joys. This mixed-media acrylic & ink on canvas is inspired by the challenges and triumphs that all of us encounter throughout our lives. "The Scars We Wear," is a narrative of a life intricately lived, each brushstroke a whispered echo of our journey through the tapestry of time. At first glance, you'll see a portrait emerging from the chaos of color and texture, a testament to the layers of existence the subject bears on her subconscious. Her eyes, windows to the soul, gaze out with a depth that belies the weight of her experiences. They hold the wisdom of countless sunsets witnessed, and storms weathered, reflecting the resilience forged through the journey of life. Yet, amidst the lines etched upon her face like the traces of ancient rivers, there lingers a quiet grace - a resilience born not of defiance, but of appreciation. Her face bears the invisible marks of survival, reminders that true beauty is not found in perfection, but in the courage to embrace the day-to-day grind. Please be advised that the artwork will be ready for shipping approximately 3 weeks after purchase.

Exploration and innovation form the basis of my artwork. I don’t believe in the conventional practice of creating a very cohesive body of work, where the art pieces are like siblings dressed in similar clothes. I alternate between traditional paintings and digital drawings using common geometrical concepts as my building blocks. Throughout millennia, lines, triangles, pyramids, spheres and other geometric tools have been fundamental to art as well as architecture. I often start a project from a mental image by exploring new ways of combining these shapes, discarding many creations along the way until I have an evocative piece. A true work of art to me is one that interacts with its viewer in an intimate way; a meditative piece that promotes different emotions every time it’s seen. Each one of us leads a uniquely complex life, and how we experience art is quite personal. One size does not fit all, and this has been an important factor in the success of abstract art forms. My art is abstract, expressive, and sometimes conceptual. However, I have no interest in labels, or categorizations. Alongside each art piece, I may drop a few hints, clues to my original thought process; the rest of the experience is entirely up to the viewer.
