About The Artwork
Still life study , using natural window light to illuminate a simple set up . The light is silvery on an overcast day which is nice to work under. The inspiration to make a painting comes from the many traditional techniques passed down through the history of pictorial representation wall art. Direct colour mixes are applied loosely and the paint is pushed around whilst holding together the dimensional aspect of the drawing .
