Part of my current large-scale landscape series; Spring Valley Prairie is a protected landscape I found in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. It was a beautiful, windy Autumn Day. I wanted to capture the lushness of the scene with layers and color. I find the prairie landscape peaceful, dramatic, and contemplative...all at once!
