This watercolor was made using actual soil with watercolor over it. When I made it I thought about the possibility of art being an invocation. I wanted then to have seeds for planting them in my garden. There is a detail at the top left of a protest banner after the disappearance of 43 students in Guerrero, Mexico, that says "They wanted to bury us, but they didn't know we were seeds". The work will be sent safely rolled in a tube.
