About The Artwork
This is part of a series of three paintings in a collection exploring Frida Kahlo's suffering during her life, one of them was her amputation. She in her diary wrote: Feet why do I want them if I have wings to fly I choose to paint her as an Angel with her wings and her foot and famous red boot inside of her body. I used metallic acrylics that make the painting shimmers when the light hits it. Rich texture. Signed and dated. More photos available upon request.
