About The Artwork
I was inspired by the garden of my parents in a small village near Trier. They were farmers and grew everything themselves. In a way, it is abstract because everything unimportant has been left out. There are no plates, no basket, no leaves as in classical still lifes. I hope the viewer will smell the plums by looking at the painting or remember the fresh cake.
