The corridors of power, like a maze, where everyone wants to stay at his place of power. Crisis in Ukraine the time could not formulate the concept of "pre-war life." We are already accustomed to today's tapes of news, interviews with anguish on political topics, to a certain unreality, the absurd events. Who would have thought that now this happens it is with us. But looking back over the horizon, in the pre-war past sees that supposedly used to be only good in general. Like, whatever it was, - has passed, yes, okay. Blurred very concrete memories. After all, a person betrays the past: it has been experienced that his mind and threw survived. We see events as the turn over page advertisement in a magazine, or observe from the wagon train for the passing trees: again, again, again, is another. By capturing only the overall noise, not noticing the details. Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.

Born in 1965 in New Bug, Ukraine. Studied Deprpetrovskoe State Art School named Vucetic (1983-86), the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (1986-93). Lives and works in Kiev. The main content and essence of creativity of Igor Konovalov - the sphere of communication in the modern society. For two decades the artist explores and visualizes the processes of interaction between a man and art as well as powerful influence on the society of information flows. Igor Konovalov notes the existence of modern and fast-paced space of invisible particles of information. These particles convey the infinite and unique in its speed digital data stream that conquered the whole world. Never before humanity had such an instantaneous transmission of information. The artist invites the viewer to see current information of a particle in the form of "bunnies" - quick and swift in reproduction in their distribution. Their moving images fill the entire space of modern life. The artist painted the first of these forms in 2008, defining them as angels of the new information world. Igor Konovalov has not only translated the information into dynamic, memorable forms but also has given it pulsating color energy. The artist's painting differs by refined harmony. Igor Konovalov is great in the magic of color, using the full range of modern pigments, creating the rich contrasts on the paintings and the subtle nuances of the color combinations. Now the information intervention continues. But the "bunnies"of Igor Konovalov bring light and joy because the right to choose information is left to a man. Olga Konovalova, Ph.D. in History of Arts
